UOI
The week started with the reinforcement of celebrations where in students discussed about different traditions celebrated around the world. They further explored their respective traditions and the way they are celebrated. Students created a checklist to help themselves stay organized and also to remember all the necessary details while planning and coordinating the essentials of celebrations.
The unit of inquiry was integrated with language where in the students explored some significant religious and cultural occasions which are celebrated all over the country. An inquiry was also done to understand their importance in human life.
To understand similarities in celebration, students got pictures of special occasions they celebrate with their families and friends and reflected on it. They discussed artifacts associated with each celebration thereby enhancing their vocabulary.

Students were introduced to sound ‘a’ through picture cards and later traced the letter on the slate. Practice of pattern writing in the process journals was undertaken.

The students associated quantity with numbers numerals 1,2,3 with different manipulatives and materials. Recognition of numbers was also done through a task sheet where the students colored a given number.
Students were also introduced to ‘venn diagram’ wherein they managed to compare and draw a contrast between pictures of different celebrations,thereby understanding similarities and differences.

Students further explored ‘Doodoo Lite’ apps on iPad and enjoyed making the Indian flag. They also enjoyed listening to the story “The country mouse and the town mouse”.

An activity for enhanced listening skills was conducted in the class where the students listened to various musical instruments which they tried to identify and name. They also inquired into the category to which these musical instruments belong . They practiced singing an action song "If all the raindrops".
Dance
Students did combination of exercises like crawling, jumping and hoping to improve loco motor skills along with the dance routine and were also introduced to a different dance style- ‘folk dance’.
Art
